Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior paddleboarding experience?

Yes—this tour is recommended for paddlers with previous SUP experience. You’ll be navigating moving water and varying conditions, so you should feel comfortable with basic paddleboarding skills and board control. If you’re newer to SUP, we suggest starting with our SUP Basics course before joining this tour.

No, gear is not included in the base tour. Paddleboard, paddle, PFD, leash, and whistle can all be added on during booking as a rental package. We’re happy to help you choose the setup that best fits your needs.

Transportation is not included, but we’re happy to assist with coordinating shuttle logistics between the launch and take-out locations.

Wear quick-drying, non-cotton layers appropriate for river paddling. Bring plenty of water, snacks, sturdy shoes for riverbanks, sun protection, bug spray, and dry clothes for after the tour. If you didn’t add on a rental package, be sure to bring all required safety equipment.
