Do I need previous SUP experience to take this course?

Yes — paddlers should be comfortable standing, paddling, and maneuvering their board in calm water before joining this course. If you’re still building foundational skills, we recommend starting with our SUP Safety Basic course.

While you don’t need to be a strong swimmer, basic comfort in the water is important. You’ll be wearing a lifejacket (PFD), and we focus on helping you feel confident and supported during every step of the course.
